Why use an interior designer?
One of our clients told us of purchaseing beautiful and expensive countertops, appliances, paint, and window coverings for her kitchen. She had contractors do the remodeling. When it was finished, at great expense, it did not look good and the kitchen was difficult to work in. More than an interior decorator, an experienced designer will create a design for your room or new home that looks and feels wonderful, AND is practical for your lifestyle. Designers can tell you which products work better, last longer, and coordinate aesthetically. They can provide contractors they have worked with many times that are reliable, skilled, and considerate. Many people today are very busy, and a designer will organize all the work, do the shopping, and field the glitches (which inevitably arise in any major project). At the end of the day, your designer will present you with coordinating samples for your approval in a relaxed atmosphere.
