All wools used in the collections are hand washed without bleach or chemicals, preserving the natural qualities of the fiber. Hand-carding and hand-spinning prepare the wool for the dying process. Top quality Swiss and vegetable dyes are employed, resulting in a unique color range to complement today’s interiors. Many styles allow for custom coloration to coordinate with your decor. Our Helios Wool Carpet is 100% New Zealand Wool. Helios is inherently natural, beautiful, and sustainable in addition to being the cleanest, whitest wool in the world. You can tell the difference as soon as you touch it! It has superior resistance to fiber crush, naturally repels water and stains, and is static and flame resistant. Unlike cheaper wools, ours does not cause allergic reactions! Custom color dyes are available. Helios is a noted environmentally conscious mill. Helios also offers 12 collections of 100% New Zealand Wool Roll Runners, and custom area rugs in round, oval, and octagonal shapes. Cotton, jute, and leather borders are available.

Helios Wools improve air quality by absorbing common contaminants. Formaldehyde (a common pollutant emitted by building materials), nitrogen dioxide, and sulfur dioxide are bound irreversibly in its structure.
High quality wools absorb vapor from the air in humid conditions and release it when the atmosphere becomes dry.
Helios Carpets do not support combustion. The high moisture content and wool’s proteins give it excellent flame resistance. It is difficult to ignite and is self-extinguishable.
Quality wool is non-allergenic. It does not promote the growth of bacteria or dust mites or off-gas. The carpet minimizes allergic reactions since it is able to hold dust in its structure until it is removed by cleaning.
